Nicatous Lake

 
  This lake is a pretty 8 square mile lake boasting a shoreline of 34 miles.
Nicatous Lake has some great chain pickerel, landlocked salmon, bass, brown trout, perch, pickerel, salmon, trout and white perch.


You find the 25-mile-in-distance Deer Lake to Deblois section of Narraguagus River nearby; this is a grade I-II whitewater sweep. The Deer Lake to Deblois section of Narraguagus River is recommended for learner paddlers. A class I-III, 11.2-mile-long
    whitewater section can be found on close by Machias River - West Branch, the Lower Sabao Lake to Machias River portion. It may be said that this section of Machias River - West Branch is a site for fun paddling.
