A great spot for whitewater paddling close to New Mills Meadow Pond is Branch Lake Stream; you can make out Brewer Mountain from New Mills Meadow Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Kebo Mountain Trail, and hiking along the North Ridge Trail is brilliant fun. During the warm months at New Mills Meadow Pond temperatures are regularly in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are regularly in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at New Mills Meadow Pond. While you're here at New Mills Meadow Pond you can take a hike along the Strath Eden Trail; a day at Lamoine Beach is time well spent. This lake is so wonderful.
