Take a little tour to Gould Brook while you're here at Nahmakanta Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Telephone Trail. Going for a hike on the Blue Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and Nesuntabunt Mountain is gorgeous and can be seen from here. High temperatures at Nahmakanta Lake during the summertime are in the 70's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 50's. Highs       through the winter are commonly in the 20's; night lows all through the wintertime for Nahmakanta Lake tend to be in the-10's. Chimney Pond Campground is a glorious local campground; there are some fine whitewater spots on Nahmakanta Stream. Nahmakanta Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a striking outdoors paradise. A great site near Nahmakanta Lake is Wadleigh Valley, and there's whitewater on Penobscot River - West Branch for all you adrenaline kick people.                  This lake is so wonderful. Big Squaw has perfect slopes and a friendly staff; don't leave Nahmakanta Lake without first going for a hike along the Number Two Trail. The annual precipitation here at Nahmakanta Lake is about average; the wettest month of the year is frequently July, that's the one that rains the most while February is ordinarily the driest month. A scenic lake like Prentiss Pond near Nahmakanta Lake is a tremendous site to check out; why not camp at Frost Pond Campground if you're here at Nahmakanta Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
