Mountainview Campground is a delightful campground nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Bar Harbor Inn. If you want to hit the beach, Black Beach is in the neighborhood, and get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Narraguagus River. The view of Catherine Mountain from Myrick Lake is wonderful, and not far from Myrick Lake you'll find Little Long Pond which is a charming lake. Summer at Myrick Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's while night
lows are ordinarily in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Myrick Lake.
And if you're still looking for more outdoors cool stuff just keep reading. Ash Bog Stream is a glorious place to take a look at, and if you came for an overnight stay Flanders Bay is a good site to camp. Take a look at nearby Alf Sproul Swamp, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for

you then, we recommend Narraguagus River - West Branch. This lake is so wonderful. There are other sites here than Myrick Lake, for example Tilden Pond, and on a wonderful day it's a tremendous idea to spend the day at Schoodic Beach.
This lake is so wonderful. The Schoodic Head Trail offers hiking at its best; if you need a location to stay The Harborside Hotel and Marina is a glorious choice. Myrick Lake is a wet place that gets lots of rain; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest month is August. Why not take a refreshing hike along the The Anvil Trail, and unsurprisingly, all our national parks are wonderful sites to visit and Acadia National Park is no exception.
Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! Myrick Lake is so good! Hiking is a popular thing to do around Myrick Lake; Lead Mountain Trail is a fine local trail.

Conners Nubble Trail
19 miles away
My wife and I and our two children (including son Conor, of course) hiked up Connor's Nubble in August, 2008.  The Acadia National Park Brochure/Map identifies this little mountain as ''Connor's Nubble'' while the trail sign itself goes with ''Conner's Nubble.''  We hiked up Connor's Nubble from the south, off of the carriage road/bike trail that runs south along the west side of Eagle Lake.  The hiking trail itself from the south approach is short, on the order of 1/3 mile.  It's pretty steep, but not too challenging given its brevity.  Once on top, the hiker is rewarded with sweeping views in all directions.  The view of Eagle Lake is terrific, as is the gander at Cadillac Mountain.  This is a very rewarding hike for such a short trail, and combined with a bike ride circumnavigating Eagle Lake, it makes for a terrific 3-hour jaunt....

Blackwoods Campground

I have been camping there for 20 years, and it is the best campground I have ever seen. Everything is wonderful, and the bugs aren't even that bad....
