Going for a hike on the Hockomock Nature Trail is always a nice adventure; paddling on Sheepscot River is so much fun. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Muddy Pond has to offer, you can camp at Sennebec Lake Campground. Washington Pond is a wonderful lake in the neighborhood of Muddy Pond, and you can go for a hike on the Mount Megunticook Trail.
