    Many people like to go to Mud Pond. Lakes? Sure, Little Moxie Pond is nearby; don't leave Mud Pond without first going for a hike along the Big Squaw Mountain Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Bingham Motor Inn, and Horseshoe Pond is a wonderful lake close by. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Mud Pond. A quick visit to Little Bennett Brook right next door to Mud Pond is a wonderful idea; there's wonderful hiking along the Intake  
   Trail.
All through the warm days of summer highs here at Mud Pond get into the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows all through the wintertime for Mud Pond tend to be in the-10's. From a rainfall point of view Mud Pond is a pretty normal place; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
 
               Stay the night at Casey's Spencer Bay Campground; a magnificent spot for whitewater paddling is Piscataquis River - East Branch.
This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Piscataquis River - West Branch near Mud Pond, and if you need a place to stay Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a delightful choice. Mud Pond is a splendid spot to visit for more than one day, Northern Pride Lodge and Campground is a splendid spot to camp nearby, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Eaton Mountain.

Breezy Acres Camps and Guide Service is located in both Solon and Eustis Maine. He have housekeeping cabins which are set up with full size stoves, refrigerators,microwave, coffee pot, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, etc. The beds are made with linens and there are plenty of towels for the shower in the bathroom. Each cabin has its own picnic table, charcoal grill and outside fire pit. We can sleep up to 38 people.

You can access snowmobile and ATV trails right from the cabin for many miles of riding. Canoeing and kayaking on various lakes, ponds, streams and rivers are a great way to relax. Hunting, fishing, golf and white water rafting are some of the other activities that we offer.

We offer reasonable rates and great hospitality.

Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends.
The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.
The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan....
