Pittsfield Motor Inn is a great site to get some rest, and on a wonderful day you get a nice panorama of Church Hill from Mud Pond. Take a little visit to                  Black Stream if you're here at Mud Pond, and Skowhegan/Canaan KOA is a glorious local campground. This lake is so wonderful. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Mud Pond while night lows are regularly in the 50's.
