Here at Mud Pond you can see Church Hill, and Twelvemile Brook is a nearby lake that you could pop by. At Mud Pond during the long summer days highs are in the 70's while overnight lows are generally in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and night lows through the winter for Mud Pond tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so       wonderful. And if that's not enough, there's plenty more to do near Mud Pond. If you need a place to stay Pittsfield Motor Inn is a magnificent choice; Mud Pond is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Skowhegan/Canaan KOA is a nice local campground. The amount of rainfall that falls at Mud Pond is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is usually November, that's the one that rains the most; February is when it's the driest. You'll                  meet a lot of people from Augusta-Waterville here, and camping at K O A Kampgrounds is always a tremendous experience. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Mud Pond, you could also explore scenic Sibley Pond; if you're a golfer then a fine nearby course is Clinton Golf Course.
