If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Piscataquis River - East Branch, and Mud Pond is a splendid spot to visit for more than one day, Casey's Spencer Bay Campground is a splendid spot to camp nearby. So much fun stuff to do at Mud Pond, so little time. Kennebec River - East Outlet       has a delightful whitewater paddling spot close by; you can go for a hike on the Big Squaw Mountain Trail. The yearly rainfall here at Mud Pond is about average; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; February on the other hand is the driest. Summertime highs at Mud Pond usually tend to be in the 70's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the-10's for Mud Pond.
