Mud Pond is a good site of normal rain; during the month of August you get the most rain around here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Mud Pond; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Mud Pond dip into the 0's. And that's not all you can do here

| | at Mud Pond. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Shawnee Peak. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Crooked River, and getting to Cold Brook from Mud Pond is simple. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the White Mountains. Gammon Hill is easy to spot from Mud Pond; the Great Brook Trail is a nice hiking trail close by. Mud Pond has to offer. Near Mud Pond you come across the Red Rock Trail which is a good hiking trail, and camping is available at Kezar Lake Camping Area. This lake is one of the great places here in the White Mountains. On a
splendid day at Mud Pond you can take a hike along the Cold Brook Trail, and enjoy a round of golf at Lake Kezar Country Club. That right there is a lot of exciting things already but it goes on, the White Mountains has it all. Float
down the rapids of Wild River in a kayak, and not far from Mud Pond you'll discover Horseshoe Pond which is a scenic lake. Lakes are great; Little Pond is a lake that's close to Mud Pond, and if you need a site to stay Chapman
Inn is a pleasant choice. Dry warm beds await you at Oxford House Inn, and Sunday River is a magnificent local ski area. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Cold River Campground is a great location to camp, and you should take a look at Upper Bay when you're here.
