    A visit to Mud Pond is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. Get drenched paddling on Nezinscot River - West Branch, and from Mud Pond you get a great panorama of Allen Mountain. Dry warm beds await you at Wilson Lake Inn, and most likely you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Worthley Pond is just a very short distance away. There's so much to do here at Mud Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Honey Run Beach and Campgrounds is a glorious  
   location for that, and a round of golf at nearby Oakdale Country Club is a great way to kill some time.
And that's not all you can do here at Mud Pond. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Black Mountain; get yourself into a kayak and hit Sandy River. A common amount of rainfall falls here at Mud Pond; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. You could
 
               also visit Labrador Pond while you're here at Mud Pond; it's nearby, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Brook Trail.
Through the warmest time of the year here at Mud Pond, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Highs through the winter are mostly in the 20's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Mud Pond temperatures drop to the-10's. If you need a site to stay The Perennial Inn is a brilliant choice, and on a splendid day you can take a hike along the Chimney Trail.
Gotta ski! Mount Abram is a brilliant place to do that; Mud Pond is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Mountain View Campground is a perfect local campground.
