Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Nezinscot River - West Branch, and at Mud Pond you can see Allen Mountain. For the period of the summertime here at Mud Pond, high temperatures regularly reach the 70's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are frequently in the 20's with temperatures at Mud Pond dipping down into the-10's during winter nights. You clearly have to love

| | Mud Pond. Mountain View Campground is a wonderful local campground; hiking along the Chimney Trail is great fun. Lakes are such serene spots, why not go to Labrador Pond close to Mud Pond; Mud Pond is right by the Brook Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Honey Run Beach and Campgrounds is a great site to camp, and Mount Abram has good slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Pond, and near Mud Pond you come across a golf course called Oakdale Country Club. From a rain point of view Mud Pond is a relatively normal site; August is the month that gets the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest
month. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Wilson Lake Inn is a pleasant choice; great skiing awaits you at Black Mountain. A great nearby hotel is The Perennial Inn, and there's whitewater on Sandy River for all you adrenaline junkies.
