    The beauty of Mud Pond is reason enough to stop by. Arnold Pond Dam has pleasant water scenery and it's next to Mud Pond, and naturally Massachusetts Bog Stream flows through this vicinity. Through the summertime months here at Mud Pond, high temperatures generally reach the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the  
   winter at Mud Pond temperatures dip to the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Mud Pond has to offer, you can camp at Cupsuptic Campground.
If only every spot had this much outdoors exciting stuff, what a great globe it would be. Float down the rapids of Dead River - North Branch in a kayak, and you'll come across a gorgeous lake called Horseshoe Pond. There are fine sites to discover along the Morrell Trail;
 
               Mud Pond is a brilliant spot to visit for more than one day, Cathedral Pines Camping Area is a brilliant spot to camp nearby. Going for a hike on the Arnold Pond Trail is always a nice adventure, and a beautiful lake like Arnold Pond is a nice place to have a look at.
If you come at the right time of year, Moose River - South Branch offers some great whitewater, and there is a brilliant hiking trail nearby called the Arnold Trail. Mud Pond is a wet spot that gets a large amount of rainfall; most of the rain falls throughout August; the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Saddleback, and visit nearby Lower Hathan Bog.

I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises....

CENTRAL RESERVATION AND PACKAGING SYSTEM
A new Inntopia Central Reservation and Packaging System will allow Saddleback to book lodging, Ski & Stay and other packages at the lodges in the town of Rangeley as well as the condominiums at the mountain.
NEW RENTAL AND RETAIL SHOPS
Saddleback will now operate the rental and retail shops in the base lodge that were previously operated by a lessee. This season the rental shop will have a new fleet of rental skis, boards, boots, bindings and poles. The retail shop will have a new inventory of clothing and accessories.
