The Perennial Inn is a great place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the magnificent whitewater of Sandy River, and the skiing at Saddleback is wonderful. The White Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the White Mountains. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Chimney Trail, and Mud Pond is fine enough to spend more than a day       at, Coos Canyon Cabins and Campground is a fine local campground. Why not have a look at nearby Chandler Mill Stream if you're here at Mud Pond; Beech Hill is clearly visible from Mud Pond. Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Mud Pond. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Mud Pond; Brook Trail is a brilliant local trail; a wonderful place for whitewater paddling is Sandy River - South Branch. All year is a good                  time in the White Mountains if you go for the outdoors. If you came to camp Dummer's Beach is a good place to do that, and Black Mountain is a magnificent local ski area. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Piazza Rock Trail, and obviously, this is a good region for folks who like lakes, Harvey Pond is a lake close at hand. Mud Pond is a good spot of normal precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. High temperatures at Mud Pond during the warm days of summer are in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Mud Pond are in the-10's.
