Mud Pond is a good place of normal precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Lost Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and why not camp at Umcolcus Sporting Camps while you're here at Mud Pond. Go for a hike on       the Round Trail; if you need a spot to stay Crown Park Inn is a glorious choice. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Mud Pond without first going for a hike along the Fox Brook Trail; of course Bishop Pond Stream flows through this area. Going for a hike on the Island Pond Trail is always a good adventure; the peak of Carr Pond Mountain can be seen from Mud Pond.                  At Mud Pond throughout the summertime months highs are in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 10's with temperatures at Mud Pond dipping down into the-10's during winter nights.
