Clover Hill Campground is a wonderful campground nearby; there is a pleasant hiking trail close by called the Fox Brook Trail. This lake is so wonderful. For the period of the summer months here at Mud Pond, high temperatures regularly get into the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 10's with temperatures at Mud Pond dipping down into the-10's during winter nights. You definitely must have a thing about Mud Pond. If you come at the right time of year, Fish River offers some wonderful whitewater, and don't forget to take a magnificent                  little trip to Bishop Pond Stream.
