It's always fun to stop by Mud Pond. The amount of rain that falls at Mud Pond is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is frequently August, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Paddling on St. Francis River is so much fun; camping at Little Black Check Point is always a great experience. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Falls Brook. At Mud Pond during the long summer days highs are in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Mud Pond are in the-10's. | |
