From a rain point of view Mud Pond is a quite common site; through the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is typically the driest month. If you came to camp Little Black Check Point is a magnificent place to do that, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for       you then, we recommend St. Francis River. This lake is so wonderful. Yankeetuladi Pond is a nice lake near Mud Pond. There's so much to do here at Mud Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Lakeview Campgrounds is a good site for that. For the duration of the summertime highs here at Mud Pond reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. Highs through the winter are usually in the 10's while the cold winter nights at                  Mud Pond are in the-10's.
