This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. There's good hiking along the Round Trail. Don't leave Mud Pond without first going for a hike along the Island Pond Trail,       and perhaps you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Clayton Lake is just a very short distance away. Through the summertime at Mud Pond highs are mostly in the 70's, and the overnight is fairly chillier of course, usually in the 50's. During the wintertime highs are generally in the 10's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Mud Pond dip into the-10's. Mud Pond gets a common amount of annual precipitation; the wettest month of the year                  is typically August, that's the one that rains the most; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
