All the water falling down from the sky makes Mud Pond a wet place; most of the rain falls during November; February meanwhile is the driest month. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Nezinscot River - West Branch, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Auburn. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Hebron Pines Campground, and Residence Inn Auburn is a nice spot to get some rest. Through the warm       days of summer at Mud Pond highs are commonly in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Mud Pond. Mud Pond is a good site to visit for more than one day, Martin Stream Campsite is a good site to camp nearby, and if you come at the right time of year, Nezinscot River offers some magnificent whitewater.                  This lake is so wonderful. Lost Valley has glorious slopes and a friendly staff. This place, Mud Pond, it absolutely has so much outdoors exciting stuff.
