Lots of rainfall falls at Mud Pond; most of the rain falls through November
while February is regularly the driest month. A nice location for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Mud Pond is Nezinscot River - West Branch, and what would winter be without some skiing at Lost Valley.
This lake is
so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Mud Pond has to offer, you can camp at Hebron Pines Campground, and if you need a site to stay Econo Lodge Auburn is a nice choice.
