    If you are in this part of Maine make sure to pay a visit to Mud Pond. The warmest time of the year at Mud Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Mud Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. All the outdoors cool things next to Mud Pond will keep you coming back time and again. You can take a little journey to Turner Dam  
   if you're here at Mud Pond, and you can spend the day on the beach at Auburn Municipal Beach. This lake is so wonderful. Get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Nezinscot River, and a stunning lake like Lake Auburn is a good site to stop by.
Lots of people from Lewiston-Auburn come to Mud Pond, and lakes are such calm places, why not have a look at Black Pond. After a long day outdoors Residence Inn Auburn is a good site to spend a night or two, and
 
               you can stay the night at Martin Stream Campsite. Some nearby water includes Meadow Brook, and from Mud Pond you obtain a pleasant sight of Gauthier Hill.
Lots of rainfall falls at Mud Pond; most of the rain falls through November while February is regularly the driest month. A nice location for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Mud Pond is Nezinscot River - West Branch, and what would winter be without some skiing at Lost Valley.
This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Mud Pond has to offer, you can camp at Hebron Pines Campground, and if you need a site to stay Econo Lodge Auburn is a nice choice.
