During the summertime here at Mud Pond, high temperatures frequently get into the 70's, and the overnight is somewhat colder of course, generally in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while Mud Pond overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. A lake close by is Lower Range Pond, and the vista of Oak Hill is beautiful. Mud Pond is a quite wet place generally with a lot of precipitation;       the wettest month of the year is typically November, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is September. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Mud Pond there are plenty of people from Lewiston-Auburn. Residence Inn Auburn is a good location to get some rest, and whitewater paddling is great on Crooked River. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Poland Spring Campground while you're here at Mud Pond; you can never get enough of the                  good skiing at Lost Valley. Camping is available at Paul and Gail's Campground; get wet paddling on Little Androscoggin River. So much fun stuff to do here at Mud Pond, too perfect to be true. Cousins Brook flows through this neighborhood, and for you golfers we recommend close by Poland Spring Golf Course.
