A splendid site to camp here at Mud Pond is Paul and Gail's Campground, and dry warm beds await you at Travelodge Lewiston. This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water nearby flows, like Cousins Brook. Lower Range Pond is a wonderful lake near Mud Pond; the skiing at Lost Valley is good. Poland Spring Golf Course is a pleasant golf course       nearby, and after a long day outdoors Residence Inn Auburn is a good place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. On a wonderful day you acquire a sight of Oak Hill from Mud Pond, and folks from Lewiston-Auburn love to come here. At Mud Pond during the days of summer highs are in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Mud Pond.                  Mud Pond beyond doubt is in the middle of a striking outdoors paradise.
