Stay the night at Chet's Camps, unsurprisingly you could also go to Spectacle Lakes if you're here; it's not far at all. Mud Lake is a reasonably wet place mostly with a lot of rain; the wettest month of the year is usually November, that's the one that rains the most, and June meanwhile is the driest month. You believe that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. There's whitewater on Northern Inlet for all you adrenaline junkies, and Cobscook Bay State Park is
   a pleasant campground nearby.
Summertime highs at Mud Lake commonly tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's, and overnight lows at Mud Lake through the wintertime generally descend into the 0's. Cooper Hill is beautiful and can be made out from Mud Lake; Roosevelt Campobello International Park is a magnificent local destination. This lake is so wonderful.

Nearby lakes? Sure, Love Lake is right next door to Mud Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend East Machias River.

Clifford Lake is very isolated . You can get their via route 9 or Route 1 in Princeton. I would recommend a recent typo map and asking plenty of guestions from the locals. There is a small camping area. My last trip there (92) I had a truck and it was needed to traverse one road that comes to mind. The fishing was excellent ( pickerel averaged 20 in.) . Hunting in that area was, should I say, productive . ...
