Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. If you need a site to stay Scottish Inns Houlton is a fine choice; in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Meduxnekeag River - South Branch. There's pleasant hiking along the Kennedy Tote Road, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on B Stream. Why not camp at Wilde Pines Campground while you're here       at Mud Lake, and camping is available at My Brothers Place. This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant nearby hotel is Shiretown Motor Inn, and Bigrock is a fine local ski area. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Potters Trail; while you're here, you could have a look at Coffin Brook. At Mud Lake during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's                  while the cold winter nights at Mud Lake are in the 0's. Mud Lake is a good spot of typical rain; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February.
