The top of Boarstone Mountain is easily observed from Mud Greenwood Pond, and on a great day you can take a hike along       the Number Four Mountain Trail. If you come at the right time of year, Big Wilson Stream offers some good whitewater, and the Northwest Ridge Road is a delightful hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful.
