You can run the rapids of Kennebec River - West Outlet in close proximity to Mountain View Pond; there is a perfect hiking trail nearby called the Big Squaw Mountain Trail. The yearly rainfall here at Mountain View Pond is about average; July is the month that gets the most rain,       and February on the other hand is the driest. Camping is available at Northern Pride Lodge and Campground, and dry warm beds await you at Bingham Motor Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Kennebec River - East Outlet, and going for a hike on the Intake Trail is always a glorious adventure. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Mountain View Pond, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the                  wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the-10's for Mountain View Pond. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Mountain View Pond. This is a fine area for folks who like lakes. Intake Pond is a lake around here, and most likely you're looking for nearby lakes?
