If you're here at Mountain Pond, you could check out Shorey Brook, and camping at Mainayr Campground is always a tremendous experience. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Mountain Pond; Lead Mountain Trail is a good local trail, and Pleasant Mountain is clearly visible from Mountain Pond. Red Barn Restaurant & Motel is a great place to get some rest; not far from Mountain       Pond you'll stumble on Gray Pond which is a beautiful lake. The high level of precipitation makes Mountain Pond a quite wet place; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. After a long day outdoors Sunset House Bed & Breakfast is a great place to spend a night or two. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Mopang Stream, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Eagle Lake                  Trail. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Mountain Pond. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are typically in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Mountain Pond are in the 0's. Mountain Pond beyond doubt is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise.
