Mountain Pond ordinarily gets a large amount of rainfall; November is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. For the period of the summer months highs here at Mountain Pond reach the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Highs through the winter are typically in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Mountain Pond are in the 0's. There's       splendid hiking along the Lead Mountain Trail, and Pleasant Mountain is beautiful and can be spotted from here. This lake is so wonderful. The Eagle Lake Trail offers hiking at its best, and a tremendous nearby hotel is Bar Harbor Inn. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. If you come at the right time of year, Mopang Stream offers some magnificent whitewater. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Narraguagus River. There's so much to                  do here at Mountain Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Mainayr Campground is a brilliant place for that.
