There's just no way someone can get bored here at Mountain Pond. Get dripping wet paddling on Narraguagus River, and the peak of Pleasant Mountain can be seen from Mountain Pond. The warmest time of the year at Mountain Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 20's; winter       nights come with lows in the 0's to Mountain Pond. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Mopang Stream. Gray Pond is a tremendous lake close to Mountain Pond, and Eastbrook Campground is a nice local campground. Shorey Brook is a stream that you may bump into while here; if you're here you can take a hike along the Lead Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Bar Harbor Inn; if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along                  the Eagle Lake Trail. Lakes are such serene places, why not go to Horseshoe Pond in close proximity to Mountain Pond, and if you came for an overnight stay Mainayr Campground is a wonderful place to camp.
