     Good hiking is available along the Bar Island Trail, and after a long day outdoors Bar Harbor Inn is a great place to spend a night or two. Throughout the summertime months at Morancy Pond temperatures are regularly in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are typically in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Morancy Pond. There's good hiking along the Schoodic Head Trail; Mountainview  
   Campground is a brilliant campground nearby. Morancy Pond is a wet location that gets a large amount of rain; November is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is August.
This is a good vicinity for folks who like lakes. Flanders Pond is a lake close at hand, and on a pretty day you can go to Schoodic Beach. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Morancy Pond; The Anvil Trail is a delightful local trail; Flanders
 
               Bay is a tremendous local campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay The Harborside Hotel and Marina is a splendid choice, and Acadia National Park is a very glorious place to take a look at.
If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Morancy Pond. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Narraguagus River. Bunker Cove is in the neighborhood and always great to go to, and most likely you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Morancy Meadow Pond is just a very short distance away. There are some great whitewater spots on Narraguagus River - West Branch, and swing by Merchants Brook it's a splendid location to visit.
Be careful coming to Morancy Pond, you might not ever want to return home again. Bean Meadow is an attention-grabbing swamp close to Morancy Pond; Black Beach is a picturesque beach to explore.

We went there in September, but, it seemed like an ideal, quiet place for hikers who may want to get off the beaten track on a very commercial island. The showers were clean, the sites were clean and it was not the most expensive. Forewarned, the shuttle bus doesn't go there, price to pay for remoteness....
