    The beauty of Morancy Pond is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Jones Pond, and Morancy Pond is right by the Bar Island Trail. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Morancy Pond. Morancy Pond gets a good deal of water; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is August.
Why not pop by Bunker Cove also since
 
   you're here, and after a long day outdoors The Harborside Hotel and Marina is a nice place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Nothing beats kicking back at Schoodic Beach, and swamps are interesting places and Bean Meadow close to Morancy Pond is no exception. Do pay a visit to Acadia National Park since you're here at Morancy Pond, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Narraguagus River - West Branch.
Have a great hiking adventure along
 
               the The Anvil Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Narraguagus River offers some good whitewater. Mountainview Campground is a pleasant campground nearby, and Bar Harbor Inn is a fine site to get some rest. Some close by water includes Merchants Brook, and if you're looking for a beach nearby we recommend Black Beach.
Throughout the warm days of summer at Morancy Pond highs are usually in the 70's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows at Morancy Pond all through the winter ordinarily drop into the 10's. Any time is a perfect time at Morancy Pond if you have a thing about the outdoors. If you came for an overnight stay Flanders Bay is a good place to camp, and do take a hike on the Schoodic Head Trail.
