If you came to camp Mainayr Campground is a splendid site to do that, and a lake close by is Upper Cranberry Lake. During the warm days of summer highs here at Mopang Second Lake reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are ordinarily in the       20's while the cold winter nights at Mopang Second Lake are in the 0's. The Lead Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best; get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Machias River - West Branch. The high level of precipitation makes Mopang Second Lake a reasonably wet place; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all                  the exciting stuff at Mopang Second Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Mopang Stream.
