Just getting warmed up. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Munsungan Stream. For the period of the warm days of summer at Moose Pond highs are usually in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Moose Pond descend into the-10's. This       lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Matagamon Wilderness Campground if you're here at Moose Pond; why not a little side journey to Caribou Brook. An average amount of precipitation falls at Moose Pond; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February. Good hiking is available along the Freezeout Road, and get wet paddling on Webster Brook. Dry warm beds await you at Katahdin Inn, and there's great hiking along                  the Munsungan Lake Tote Road.
