If you like swamps, you're in luck, Hobart Deadwater is right nearby, and Moose Pond is right by the Jerry Pond Tote Road. Horseback Pond is a tremendous       lake close to Moose Pond; dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Value Heritage Motor Inn. There's so much to do here at Moose Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Matagamon Wilderness Campground is a good site for that; you have to positively explore Godfrey Pitch while you're here. You absolutely should like Moose Pond. Get drenched paddling on Shin Brook River, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Snowshoe Lake Road. You'll need more                  than a day to explore everything Moose Pond has to offer, you can camp at Shin Pond Village Campground, and drift down the rapids of Seboeis River in a kayak. During the long summer days at Moose Pond temperatures are usually in the 70's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 50's.
