Going for a hike along the Matagamon Tote Road will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region; if you came to camp Shin Pond Village Campground is a magnificent spot to do that. Swamps like Hobart Deadwater are fun to go to, and you can run the rapids of Shin Brook River. This lake is so wonderful.                  Take a hike on the Snowshoe Lake Road, and camping at Matagamon Wilderness Campground is always a great experience. After a long day outdoors Katahdin Inn is a wonderful place to spend a night or two, and hiking along the Jerry Pond Tote Road is splendid fun.
