    Do stop by Moose Pond while you're in this part of Maine. Yep, outdoors fun stuff to do are truly bountiful here at Moose Pond. Moose Pond is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Matagamon Wilderness Campground is a brilliant local campground, and if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Snowshoe Lake Road. If you need a location to stay Katahdin Inn is a pleasant choice. There's so much to do here at Moose Pond that you need to camp here  
   for a while, Shin Pond Village Campground is a perfect place for that. Through the days of summer, highs usually are in the 70's at Moose Pond. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; during the dark hours in the winter at Moose Pond temperatures drop to the-10's.
In case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Shin Brook River;
 
               the Matagamon Tote Road is a great hiking trail close by. This lake is so wonderful. Godfrey Pitch is an attention-grabbing thing to spot since you're here at Moose Pond; there are swamps here too, Hobart Deadwater is close by.
On a wonderful day at Moose Pond you can take a hike along the Jerry Pond Tote Road; whitewater paddling is great on Seboeis River. Moose Pond gets a common amount of rainfall; July is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest.
