This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Maple Hill Farm B & B Inn is a brilliant choice, and Hopkins Pond is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. You're sure to come across some nice folks from Mount Vernon here; do stop at Doloff Pond, it's a delightful lake. If you came to camp Five Seasons       Campground is a glorious place to do that, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Cobbosseecontee Stream. A magnificent panorama of beautiful Bowen Hill is available from Moose Pond, and dropping by Peacock Beach State Park is a great thing to do. The high level of rain makes Moose Pond a relatively wet place; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. And if that's not enough, there's                  a lot more to do close to Moose Pond. While you're here at Moose Pond you can take a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Titcomb. This lake is so wonderful. Take a side journey to Intervale Brook, and dry warm beds await you at Winthrop Motel. At Moose Pond through the summer highs are in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 50's.
