     A short visit to Highland Spring is always worthwhile, and you can take a little tour to Deer Rips Dam since you're here at Montello Heights Reservoir. A magnificent swamp in close proximity to Montello Heights Reservoir is Garcelon Bog, and there are other sites here than Montello Heights Reservoir, for example Lake Andrews. Lots of folks from Lewiston-Auburn come to Montello Heights Reservoir, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you  
   then, we recommend Chandler Brook. Montello Heights Reservoir is a reasonably wet place usually with a good deal of precipitation; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; September meanwhile is the driest month.
If you fancy the outdoors, you'll fancy Montello Heights Reservoir. Lakes are such serene sites, why not take a look at Androscoggin River Reservoir in close proximity to Montello Heights Reservoir. High temperatures at Montello Heights
 
               Reservoir through the summertime are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while Montello Heights Reservoir night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Really delightful skiing awaits you at Lost Valley, and if you need a place to stay Ramada Conference Center Lewiston/Auburn is a splendid choice.
This lake is so wonderful. Fox Ridge Golf Club is a brilliant golf course nearby, and you can stay the night at Allen Pond Campground. A nice close by hotel is Travelodge Lewiston, and Montello Heights Reservoir is a wonderful site to visit for more than one day, Maine Campground Owners Association is a wonderful site to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. The vista of Apple Sass Hill from Montello Heights Reservoir is charming, and get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Nezinscot River.

Fun short spot, We made it a overnight trip and had a good old time. There needs to be a bunch of water in this stream to even make it doable. on 4/20 we were scooting-ass over many shallow spots in our yaks. Fun drops with laziness inbetween make for a good time especially for the novice....
