High temperatures at Minnehonk Lake through the long summer days are in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 20's while Minnehonk Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Take a side visit to Mill Stream, and there are some great whitewater       spots on Wilson Stream. If only every place had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great globe it would be. If you came to camp Camp Laurel is a great spot to do that; Winthrop Motel is a good spot to get some rest. Minnehonk Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest month of the year is February. If you come at the right time of year, Sandy River offers some perfect whitewater, and dry warm beds                  await you at Comfort Inn & Suites. Nearby lakes? Sure, Hopkins Pond is in the vicinity of Minnehonk Lake, and the top of Bowen Hill is easily observed from Minnehonk Lake. Flying Pond Dam has brilliant water scenery and it's near Minnehonk Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Minnehonk Lake; Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a good local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Titcomb is a splendid place to do that, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Augusta-Waterville here.
