    Go to Mink Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. While you're here at Mink Pond, you could also check out wonderful McKeen Lake, and close by you locate the Rocky Mountain Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. You'll come across a gorgeous lake called Big Brook Lake near Mink Pond, and the Fox Brook Trail is a good hiking trail close by. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Lakeview Campgrounds; Musquacook Stream has a good whitewater paddling  
   spot close by.
Now, you may imagine that's a lot but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Mink Pond. Near Mink Pond you come across Dead Horse Gulch which is a great site to go to. Mink Pond gets a common amount of yearly rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is February. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Mink Pond; the overnight is a bit chillier of course, typically in the 50's. During the wintertime
 
               this place gets highs in the 10's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Mink Pond descend into the-10's.
Why not camp at Little Black Check Point since you're here at Mink Pond; in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Brook River.
