Mine Pond is a lake worth visiting. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby King Pine, and a delightful spot for whitewater paddling is Ossipee River. The Province Brook Trail is a perfect hiking trail in close proximity to Mine Pond, and why not head up to Cranmore Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail right next door to Mine Pond called the Shingle Pond Trail.

| | day at Mine Pond you can take a hike along the Weeks Brook Trail; why not take a little tour to South River since you're here. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. If you need a site to stay Oxford House Inn is a great choice, and why not camp at Bally-Hoo Campground if you're here at Mine Pond. A great place to camp here at Mine Pond is Windsong Campgrounds, and on a beautiful day you get a delightful vista of Prospect Mountain from Mine Pond.

temperatures at Mine Pond through the summer are in the 80's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Mine Pond
tend to be in the 0's. The high level of rainfall makes Mine Pond a pretty wet place; November is the wettest month with most rain, and September is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Merrill Farm Resort is a fine location to get some rest, and there's always Bickford Pond Dam to have a look at near Mine Pond.
