Near Millimagassett Lake you stumble on the Millinocket Lake Tote Road which is a good hiking trail, and a perfect spot to camp here at Millimagassett Lake is Matagamon Wilderness Campground. For the duration of the summertime months at Millimagassett Lake highs are regularly in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's.       The winter brings highs down to the 20's while Millimagassett Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the-10's. The annual precipitation here at Millimagassett Lake is about average; during July this area sees the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Be careful coming to Millimagassett Lake, you might not ever want to go home again. A good nearby hotel is Katahdin Inn. The Munsungan Lake Tote Road is a tremendous hiking                  trail close to Millimagassett Lake, and if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Millinocket Stream. Going for a hike on the Matagamon Tote Road is always a wonderful adventure, and camping is available at South Branch Pond Campground.
