This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Flying Pond; a perfect location to camp here at Mill Pond is Five Seasons Campground. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Sandy River, and needless to say Mill Stream flows through this area. Have a great hiking adventure along the Appalachian National Scenic       Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Winthrop Motel. Any time is a magnificent time at Mill Pond if you like the outdoors. Lakes are nice; Black Pond is a lake that's in the vicinity of Mill Pond, and the summit of Berry Hill can be seen from Mill Pond. If you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a tremendous choice, and why not camp at Camp Laurel if you're here at Mill Pond. Mill Pond is a quite wet place frequently with a large amount of rainfall;                  November is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to encounter some great folks from Augusta-Waterville here, and if you come at the right time of year, Wilson Stream offers some tremendous whitewater. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Mill Pond, and the nighttime is fairly cooler of course, usually in the 50's.
