Lakes are such peaceful locations, why not have a look at Lower Patten Pond near Mill Pond, and if you need a location to stay Twilite Motel is a good choice. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Union River; why not a little side trip to Howards Brook. Near Mill Pond you come across the Peaked Mountain Trail which is a great hiking trail, and for you golfers we recommend nearby White Birches Motel & Golf Course. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll love Mill Pond. Branch Lake is a brilliant lake close to Mill Pond; if you come at the right time of year, Branch Lake Stream offers some splendid whitewater. For the duration of the summer months highs here at Mill Pond get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's.
