    The beauty of Mill Pond is reason enough to stop by. In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Goose Falls, and a nice beach nearby is Birchhead Shore. This lake is so wonderful. Mill Pond is right by the Blue Hill Trail, and the peak of Caterpillar Mountain can be distinguished from Mill Pond. Looking for some flowing water? Try Deep Bridge Brook, and nearby you hit upon Billings Cove.
After a long day outdoors
 
   Eggemoggin Oceanfront Lodge is a magnificent site to spend a night or two, and you can stay the night at Robin Hood Camp. Hiking along the Old Cove Trail is pleasant fun. There's so much to do here at Mill Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Sunshine Campground is a nice place for that. Mill Pond gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; all through the month of November you get the most rain around here while February is generally the driest month.
 
               You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff at Mill Pond. Have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Sawyer Notch Trail, and a wonderful site for whitewater paddling is Blue Hill Falls. For the period of the summertime here at Mill Pond, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Mill Pond all through the winter regularly plunge into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
