    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Mill Pond. Get your heart beating on the nice whitewater of Narraguagus River - West Branch. Be careful coming to Mill Pond, you might not ever want to go back home again. Looking for something in the vicinity of Mill Pond? Donnell Pond is in close proximity, and Black Beach is a beach close by that you can visit. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Mill Pond; Bar Island Trail is a magnificent local trail, and why not  
   take a look at a swamp like Brown Meadow since you're here at Mill Pond.
Mountainview Campground is a good campground nearby, and a good close by hotel is The Harborside Hotel and Marina. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Mill Pond. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Strath Eden Trail, and getting to Clapham Brook from Mill Pond is uncomplicated. The Kebo Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best, and visiting Acadia National
 
               Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet.
Mill Pond frequently gets a good deal of rainfall; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and August is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Long Pond Dam is worth going to while you're here, and Baker Hill is a peak you can make out from Mill Pond. For the duration of the long summer days, highs typically are in the 70's at Mill Pond, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Mill Pond.
If you're looking for a beach close to Mill Pond, we recommend Schoodic Beach; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Union River - East Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Put some time aside to spend at Sullivan Falls while you're here at Mill Pond, and if you need a place to stay Sea Breeze Motel is a delightful choice. Falls Point is rather in close proximity to Mill Pond; Mountain View Campground is a nice local campground.
