Do stop at Mill Pond Dam since you're here at Mill Pond, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Chandler Brook. For the period of the long summer days, highs typically are in the 70's at Mill Pond while nighttime lows are mostly in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's while Mill Pond nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime       are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Portland/Westbrook Super 8 Motel, and during your trip here you'll meet some people from Portland-South Portland for sure. Stay the night at Adventure Camp; if you're a golfer then a nice nearby course is Frye Island Town Golf Course. Skiing at Lost Valley is one of those things you just should do, and swamps like Boody Meadow near Mill Pond make for magnificent places to explore. This                  lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Mill Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Highland Lake Park Camping and Cottages is a nice place for that, and a striking lake like Collins Pond is a pleasant place to visit. All the water falling down from the sky makes Mill Pond a wet location; throughout November this area sees the most rain while September is regularly the driest month. So much entertaining stuff close to Mill Pond, truly striking. Having a magnificent time at Mill Pond is painless. The Elms Bed and Breakfast is a nice place to get some rest, and do schedule some time to explore Brown Cove if you have a chance.
