The warmest time of the year at Middle Oxhead Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Middle Oxhead Pond fall into the 0's. After a long day outdoors White Birches Country Club is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and whitewater       paddling is glorious on Nicatous Stream. Maple Grove Campground is a magnificent local campground, and do take a hike on the Eagle Lake Trail. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Middle Oxhead Pond. Lower Oxhead Pond is a good lake close to Middle Oxhead Pond; why not camp at Cold Spring Campground while you're here at Middle Oxhead Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Lead Mountain Trail, and get soaked                  paddling on Passadumkeag River. A lovely lake like Upper Oxhead Pond close to Middle Oxhead Pond is a good site to check out, and swing by Little Guagus Stream it's a wonderful place to take a look at.
