Sunday River is a great local ski area, and Rapid River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot close by. All through the warm days of summer at Metallak Pond temperatures are frequently in the 70's, and the nighttime is a bit chillier of course, typically in the 50's. Through the winter highs are regularly in the 20's while Metallak Pond overnight low temperatures all through the winter are in the-10's. All the outdoors cool stuff right next door to Metallak

the one that rains the most, and February is the month with the least moisture. Camping at South Arm Campground is always a nice experience, and after a long day outdoors Sunday River Ski and Golf Resort is a great place to spend
a night or two. This lake is located in the wonderful White Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Have a delightful hiking adventure along the Bemis Trail, and if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on
Black Brook. Yep, outdoors fun things truly is bountiful here in the White Mountains. Metallak Pond is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, North Camps is a tremendous local campground, obviously you could also stop
at Upper Richardson Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors just come on up to the White Mountains. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Black Mountain is next to Metallak Pond, and do take a hike on the Bemis Stream Trail.
