    The beauty of Metallak Pond is reason enough to stop by. For the duration of the summer here at Metallak Pond, high temperatures mostly reach the 70's. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Metallak Pond throughout the wintertime mostly sink into the-10's. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff truly is plentiful here in the White Mountains. Hiking along the Milrose Trail is glorious  
   fun, and do take a hike on the Bemis Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Grand Summit Resort Sunday River, and a day on the slopes of Black Mountain is just what you need.
This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Metallak Pond has to offer, you can camp at South Arm Campground, and get wet paddling on Black Brook. Stay the night at North Camps; Metallak Pond is right by the Bemis Stream Trail. The White Mountains scenery
 
               is always beautiful.
This lake is so wonderful. The amount of precipitation that falls at Metallak Pond is close to the national average; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is February. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff at Metallak Pond. Drift down the rapids of Rapid River in a kayak, and Sunday River is a splendid place to get some rest.
There's no way someone can get bored here in the White Mountains. If you're here at Metallak Pond, you could pop by Icicle Brook, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Sunday River is reasonably near.
