Roberts Roost Campground is a brilliant campground nearby, and the slopes of Camden are so inviting nobody can resist. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Goose River Golf Course is always a delight, and do take a hike on the Ragged Mountain Trail. Here at Megunticook Lake you'll probably meet some folks from Rockland; Blue Harbor House Inn is a tremendous place to get some rest. There's some       interesting stuff to spot at Megunticook Lake East Dam near Megunticook Lake, and Fernalds Neck is close by and always pleasant to go to. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing things the area in the vicinity of Megunticook Lake has to offer. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Ducktrap River, and dry warm beds await you at Camden Riverhouse Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Tolman Pond is in the vicinity, and Laite Memorial Beach is a beach                  close by that you can go to. Megunticook Lake is a glorious spot to visit for more than one day, Camden Hills RV Resort is a glorious spot to camp nearby, and if you come at the right time of year, Oyster River offers some good whitewater. Megunticook Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; November is when you get the most rain here, and July on the other hand is the driest. Megunticook Lake truly is in the middle of a gorgeous outdoors paradise. Not far from Megunticook Lake, you'll hit upon Moody Pond which is a lovely lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Mount Megunticook Trail. Throughout the long summer days here at Megunticook Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Megunticook Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights.
