Many people like to go to McPherson Pond. The Rocky Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best. In the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Falls Brook; why not a little side journey to Yankeetuladi Brook. Stay the night at Little Black Check Point, and a short trip to Cross Lake Rapids is always worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at McPherson Pond that you need to camp here for

| | a while, Lakeview Campgrounds is a great place for that, and whitewater paddling is great on St. Francis River. Summertime highs at McPherson Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 10's, and overnight lows in the-10's for McPherson Pond. McPherson Pond gets a common amount of rain; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is February.
