All through the months of summer here at McPherson Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 70's; the overnight is a bit chillier of course, regularly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 10's with temperatures at McPherson Lake dipping down into the-10's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Northern Lights Motel is a great location to spend       a night or two. Mid Town Motel is a delightful site to get some rest, and if you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Aroostook River. This place, McPherson Lake, it clearly has so much outdoors cool stuff. Camping at McPherson Lake is great fun, Neil E Michaud Campground is a great local campground, and if you've had enough of McPherson Lake, Mars Hill Pond is close by. This lake is so wonderful. Don't                  leave McPherson Lake without first going for a hike along the Sweets Trail, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Boynton Brook. McPherson Lake is a good place of typical rain; through August this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Why not camp at Wilde Pines Campground while you're here at McPherson Lake, and skiing at Bigrock is one of those things you just must do. At Mars Hill Dam in the neighborhood of McPherson Lake there are some interesting things to see, and B Stream has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by.
