What a nice lake McKeon Pond is. Summertime at McKeon Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are generally in the 10's while the cold winter nights at McKeon Pond are in the-10's. | | Pond is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Little Black Check Point is a magnificent local campground. The amount of rain that falls at McKeon Pond is close to the national average; August is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on St. Francis River is so much fun, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Rocky Mountain Trail.
