Paddling on Big Brook River is so much fun, and you'll discover a scenic lake called Petes Pond. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Little Black Check Point is a perfect place to do that, and hiking along the Fox Brook Trail is brilliant fun. There's so much to do here at McKeen       Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lakeview Campgrounds is a great site for that, and McKeen Lake is right by the Rocky Mountain Trail. From a rainfall point of view McKeen Lake is a pretty common place; most of the rain falls all through August, and the driest month is February. Summertime at McKeen Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
