Hiking is a popular thing to do around Mattawamkeag Lake; Potters Trail is a glorious local trail, and some of the water nearby flows, like Trueworthy                  Brook. Yeah, come here to Mattawamkeag Lake for a tremendous time. You should stop at Birch Point when you're here at Mattawamkeag Lake, and drift down the rapids of Mattawamkeag River - East Branch in a kayak. Why not camp at Bear Mountain Lodge if you're here at Mattawamkeag Lake, and if you get bored of Mattawamkeag Lake you could also stop at close by Pleasant Lake.
