During the months of summer highs here at Mars Hill Pond reach the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Mars Hill Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Mars Hill       Pond; Sweets Trail is a perfect local trail, and Mars Hill Dam is a place that is near Mars Hill Pond. Bigrock is a tremendous local ski area, and you can run the rapids of B Stream. A brilliant close by hotel is Scottish Inns Houlton, and since you're here you can play some golf at Mars Hill Country Club. Mars Hill Pond is a good place of normal rainfall; during August this area sees the most rain while February is frequently the driest month. Why not                  take a refreshing hike along the Pierce Tote Road, and Wilde Pines Campground is a pleasant local campground. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Mars Hill Pond. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by McPherson Lake, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Boynton Brook. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes?
