Going for a hike on the Matagamon Tote Road is always a good adventure, and Penobscot River - East Branch has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by. If you're here at Marble Pond, you could stop at Kimball Brook, and if you get bored of Marble Pond you could also go to close by Little Mud Pond. Throughout the summertime at Marble Pond highs are commonly in the 70's, and during the night it cools down       to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Marble Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Shin Pond Village Campground if you're here at Marble Pond, and Hay Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit. So much cool stuff to do at Marble Pond, so little time. Go for a hike on the Spring Brook Trail, and whitewater paddling is brilliant on Seboeis River. Dry warm                  beds await you at Katahdin Inn. Near Marble Pond you stumble on the Jerry Pond Tote Road which is a great hiking trail, and camping is available at Matagamon Wilderness Campground.
