    Many people like to go to Marble Pond. Throughout the summer months highs here at Marble Pond get into the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Marble Pond. There's great hiking along the Jerry Pond Tote Road, and there are some great whitewater spots on Penobscot River - East Branch. This lake is so wonderful. The Spring  
   Brook Trail offers hiking at its best, and camping is available at Matagamon Wilderness Campground.
Hiking is a popular thing to do around Marble Pond; Matagamon Tote Road is a nice local trail; if you came for an overnight stay Shin Pond Village Campground is a magnificent site to camp. The annual rainfall here at Marble Pond is about average; throughout the month of July you get the most rain around here while February is usually the driest month. There's
 
               some flowing water close by, Kimball Brook is a stream you can stop by while you're here; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Seboeis River.
This place, Marble Pond, it definitely has so much outdoors exciting stuff. If you need a place to stay Katahdin Inn is a splendid choice.
