The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Maranacook Lake; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Maranacook Lake during the wintertime typically fall into the 0's. Near Maranacook Lake you hit upon the Appalachian National Scenic Trail which is       a perfect hiking trail, and at Maranacook Lake Upper Dam next to Maranacook Lake there are some exciting things to see. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Camping at Augusta West Lakeside Resort is always a great experience; do stop by Lower Narrows Pond, it's a delightful lake. Camping is available at Camp Laurel, and you can run the rapids of Cobbosseecontee Stream. It's a pleasant idea to visit Hoyt Brook, it's right next door                  to Maranacook Lake, and if you need a place to stay Maple Hill Farm B & B Inn is a nice choice. This lake is so wonderful. Upper Narrows Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Augusta-Waterville here. This lake is so wonderful. Maranacook Lake mostly gets lots of rain; during the month of November you get the most rain around here; February meanwhile is the driest month.   Winthrop Motel, Winthrop Located 1.5 miles from scenic downtown Winthrop.
