Summer brings highs in the 70's to Manton Pond with overnight lows in the 50's. Highs through the winter are mostly in the 20's; throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Manton Pond temperatures drop to the-10's. So much amusing stuff to do here at Manton Pond, too brilliant to be true. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Millinocket Stream. From a rainfall point       of view Manton Pond is a reasonably typical location; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. There are delightful spots to discover along the Millinocket Lake Tote Road, and you can stay the night at Matagamon Wilderness Campground. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Munsungan Stream. There's so much to do here at Manton Pond that you need to camp here for a while,                  Umcolcus Sporting Camps is a brilliant spot for that. Don't leave Manton Pond without first going for a hike along the Munsungan Lake Tote Road, and if you need a place to stay Katahdin Inn is a tremendous choice. Going for a hike on the Matagamon Tote Road is always a great adventure, and if you want to go to some interesting stuff, go to Owls Head.   Katahdin Inn, Millinocket 29 miles away The Econo Lodge is located at the northern end of the Appalachian Trail.
